Workshop Details

*Note: The Plat Review Officer Workshop will likely be offered again in the Spring at multiple locations across the state. If you want to take both the photogrammetry workshop AND the Plat Review Officer Workshop, OR if you need an additional 8 hours by the end of the year for certifications, you will be better off to sign up for the Photogrammetry Workshop at this time.

Photogrammetry Workshop Description: Gary Thompson at NC Geodetic Survey is offering a workshop on photogrammetry for those who will be working with or running orthophotography projects for their organizations. Instructors have been assembled from across the state to help teach local governments more about the photogrammetry process, new technologies, standards, etc.

Review Officer Workshop Description: Rex Minneman at the Land Records Management Division of the NC Secretary of State will present a 4-hour workshop covering the practice and legal aspects of the Plat Review Officer. This workshop is ideal for new (or soon to be designated) Plat Review Officers as well as a refresher for those with Plat Review experience to bring issues they may have encountered.

Hotel Accomodations

The NCPMA has reserved a block of guest rooms at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center (pictured above) in Research Triangle Park, NC. Guest room reservations are the individual responsibility of conference attendees. To make your reservations, call the hotel directly at (919) 941-5050 or Sheraton Central Reservations at (800) 325-3535 and be sure to identify yourself as an NCPMA conference attendee to receive the group rate of $112.00 per night (plus 13% in sales and occupancy taxes) for single or double standard occupancy accomodations.
The group rate will be offered until August 31, 2007. After that date, accomodations will be subject to room and rate availability. It is strongly suggested that you make your room reservations early, as October is the busiest month of the year at this property.

The Sheraton Imperial is located at Exit 282 (Page Road) off of I-40 in RTP. (map)
