North Carolina Property Mappers Association

Spring Workshops 2006

In conjunction with the State Land Records Management Program and the NC Geodetic Survey, the NCPMA will conduct several free workshops across the State directed toward county Review Officers, Property Mappers, and Registered Land Surveyors.

Attendance will go towards continuing education hours for State Certified Property Mapper re-certification – total of 8 hours, 4 hours for each session.

The morning session will be devoted to Review Officers’ duties and responsibilities.

The afternoon session will cover many other pertinent mapping subjects such as:

Each Review Officer session will be held in the morning and the general mapping session will be in the afternoon. Attendees can go to either session or both sessions. Because of the number of locations available, some offices may find it advantageous to send some of their employees to different locations so that all of their employees will have the opportunity to attend the workshops.

Speakers will include Mr. Gary Thompson, Director, Geodetic Survey; Mr. Scott Lokken, National Geodetic Association; Mr. David Tuttle, Attorney for the N.C. Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors; Mr. Rex Minneman (retired), former Land Records Program Manager; Mr. Tom Morgan, current Land Records Manager and Professional Land Surveyor; and Patty Holloway, Internal Systems Consultant, Land Records Program.

These workshops are open to any one who wants to attend. They are especially designed for county Review Officers, registers of deeds and staff, property mappers, planners, and surveyors.
